Organisation guidelines

Surge Foundry is a discovery layer for AI builders and AI products. You can engage in several ways — all of them around the ecosystem. The one thing you cannot do is build inside a cohort; the sprint is for individual builders.

How you can engage

• Discover verified builders. Search the Commons for builders who’ve demonstrated AI-agent engineering, Python, RAG, evaluation and AI-assisted development — and reach out.
• Post a challenge. Share a real problem for Builders to build against. A problem statement only — never confidential data.
• Mentor or judge. Lend your engineers to the mentor pool or as Demo Day judges.
• Run a workshop. Teach a skill or introduce your tools to motivated builders.
• Sponsor or support. Fund cohorts, chapters and challenges and help keep the program free.

The boundary

Organisation accounts cannot join a cohort or build a project. The ecosystem verifies individual builders; mixing company-built products into that would break the Passport’s meaning. This isn’t a limit on partnership — it’s what keeps the talent pool you’re discovering credible.

Talent Discovery

Don’t think “hire students.” Think “discover verified AI builders.” Each builder in the Commons comes with skills, real projects, GitHub, a Product Passport, a demo and an evaluation — far stronger than a resume alone.

This is Talent Discovery: you’re an external user of the Commons, not part of the Foundation. Surge facilitates the introduction; you take it from there. Alongside it sit Product Discovery (for founders and investors) and Research Discovery (for academia).
